Mountaineering Ireland AGM 2023 - Time and Venue Notification

Hybrid AGM to be held on Tuesday, May 23rd starting at 7.00pm

Mountaineering Ireland’s 2023 Annual General Meeting will take place on Tuesday, May 23rd, 2023 at 7.00pm. It will be held at Irish Sport HQ, National Sports Campus, Blanchardstown, D15 DY62 and via Zoom for those delegates who wish to attend virtually.

Mountaineering Ireland strongly encourages all clubs to nominate a minimum of two delegates to attend the AGM and to avail of their voting rights. Individual members also have voting rights and can attend too. Further details on registering will be circulated in advance of the meeting.

 

Motions and Nominations

Mountaineering Ireland clubs and individual members are invited to put forward motions for discussion at the AGM and also to nominate members for positions on the Board of Mountaineering Ireland, including for the position of President. The Board of Directors is responsible for maintaining oversight of all Mountaineering Ireland’s activities. Board members are elected for a three-year term.

The President will be someone with a long involvement in Mountaineering Ireland and in the activities of hillwalking, climbing or mountaineering.  The President has a key role in ensuring that the Board of Mountaineering Ireland operates in accordance with the wishes and priorities of its membership. The President does not chair the Board.

The closing date for motions and nominations is 5pm on Tuesday, April 25th, 2023.
