The Galtee Challenge or full crossing has been organised by the Galtee Walking Club since 2005.
This year the Club is again offering the option of doing a shorter version of the route (either self-navigated or guided) on the 29th of June.
The full Galtee Challenge is a 32km (1700m ascent) self-navigated hike across the Galtee Mountain range from Cahir to Anglesborough.
Participants of the shorter version of the Challenge can self navigate or opt to be part of a guided group.
This walk will start at the Black Road and finish in Anglesborough, taking in the highest peaks of the Galtee range (18km 1200m ascent).
All participants will receive a certificate, a gift and a meal afterwards in the hall in Anglesborough.
Ticket price: To be determined (bus to the starting point will be included).
Refunds only in extenuating circumstances.
