The paper on Covid and Mountain Sports, produced by Henning Wackerhage (a Professor of exercise physiology and mountaineer, Roger Everett and a team of academics & international climbers).
This paper reviews the virus, the disease and information collected from the UK, Europe and North America on COVID related mitigation measures in different countries and their effects on mountain sports. They summarise the various risks of transmission of the virus, based on an understanding of the virus and recommend rational measures to reduce the risk of SARS-CoV-2 infection during mountain sports and associated activities. They found no evidence that mountain sports of themselves have been linked to any clusters of infection, and we emphasise the evidence that the risk of transmission outdoors is very small compared to that indoors.
