Title:  Have your say on the management of Coillte forests
Date:  30/05/2018

Coillte Consultation Meetings

Coillte is currently holding a series of public consultation meetings across its six Business Area Units (BAUs) nationwide.

 The purpose of the BAU consultation meetings is to provide;

  • a forum for Coillte to discuss issues of common interest with environmental, social and community groups and individuals,
  • an opportunity for Coillte to receive advice, views and suggestions from stakeholders on its plans,
  • an opportunity for stakeholders to receive information about Coillte’s policies, plans and practices.

This is an important opportunity for the public to have a say in the management of our state-owned forests. Mountaineering Ireland urges members to attend the consultation meetings in areas where you regularly walk or climb.

These are drop-in sessions (not four-hour meetings), go along at the time that suits you between 3pm and 7pm.
