Title:  Update of Current COVID-19 Restrictions

Based on recent announcements in relation to COVID-19 Restrictions, please see summary chart below as it relates to hillwalking and rock climbing in both the Republic of Ireland and Northern Ireland for the comings weeks. We are currently reviewing our guidelines and will update shortly if required.

  Current Restrictions  Current Restrictions 
Travel Exercise within your county or within 20km of your home if crossing county boundaries.

To help reduce the risk of COVID-19 spreading you should stay in your local area. If you go somewhere and there are crowds which will make social distancing difficult, consider going somewhere else instead.

Hillwalking & rock-climbing

Adults: Can take place between a maximum of two households.

Underage: Can take place as an organised club activity in pods of 15.

Up to 10 people (including children of all ages) from a maximum of two households can take part in outdoor exercise or sports activities.
Club activity outdoors

Adults: No

Underage: Can take place as an organised club activity in pods of 15.

Up to 15 people (including coaches) can take part in structured outdoor sports training, through clubs or individuals affiliated to recognised sports governing bodies or representative organisations for sport and physical activity.
Climbing walls Closed Indoor climbing walls may open for individual and 1-2-1 coaching from the 30th April
