The Department of Arts Heritage & the Gaeltacht has published a draft National Landscape Strategy for the Republic of Ireland. As Mountaineering Ireland’s mission includes being a voice for the sustainable use of Ireland’s mountains, hills and other places we use for our activities, it is important that we participate in the consultation on this strategy.
Mountaineering Ireland is inviting all members to submit comments on the draft National Landscape Strategy to firstname.lastname@example.org before Monday 28th July 2014 for consideration in Mountaineering Ireland’s response to the draft.
Mountaineering Ireland recently responded to a draft Landscape Charter for Northern Ireland, published by the Northern Ireland Environment Agency. You can read Mountaineering Ireland’s submission below.
