Title: Lowland Leader Award first assessment
Date: 20/12/13
System Date: 20/12/13
The Lowland Leader Award saw the first candidates through assessment in Donegal last week . The Lowland Leader Award was launched in September 2013. It is a new training scheme for those taking their first steps into the world of leading groups on day walks, along clearly defined tracks and trails, in forest, coast and countryside. The training scheme is already attracting a broad range of registrants from club members, instructors, tourism operators to community groups and others.

Congratulations to those that were successful on the assessment!! The photographs (above and below) from the first Lowland Leader Award assessment were submitted by the assessor, Bren Whelan.

Also, while the Climbing Wall Award has been available across the UK for many years, the first assessments under Mountaineering Ireland's BOS Providers /Assessors have taken place in the past month - well done to all successful candidates.
