On Wednesday, 11 September, Mountaineering Ireland hosted the members of Outdoor Education Ireland in Irish Sport HQ, National Sports Campus. The objective of the meeting is to update the centre Directors on Mountaineering Ireland's current activities, future plans and to continue to build on the strong relationship that exists.

Outdoor Education Ireland (OEI) is the national network of Outdoor Education Centres under the patronage of Education and Training Boards.

Supported by the Department of Education and Science through their local Education and Training Boards they provide an Outdoor Education service to schools, colleges & youth services in addition to a range of adventure sports and related courses for individual adults and youths.

Their courses, encompassing both Adventure and Environmental Education, are designed to ensure memorable learning experiences in an enjoyable environment. Their range of adventurous activities provide an exciting forum to help your group learn & achieve
together at a challenging level suited to their needs. Each Outdoor Education Centre provides its own unique programmes with courses taking place in, on and around the wild and rugged landscapes and the superb marine environment.
