RTÉ's Mooney Goes Wild on the Mountain Environment

15 June 2012

Today, Friday 15 July, RTÉ’s Mooney Goes Wild had Mountaineering Ireland’s Hillwalking, Access & Conservation Officer, Helen Lawless in studio discussing how best to enjoy Ireland's mountain environment.

The long days of the summer months provide an excellent opportunity to get out and discover the joy of walking in Ireland’s hills and mountains. To give you a taste of the wildlife you might come across in the mountains, Helen Lawless has written this week's app article, in which she talks about the plants, mammals and birds that are commonly found in this environment. The app also includes advice on how you can get out walking in the hills and some useful websites.
